MTBE is an ideal blending component for producing lead-free, high octane, and oxygen-containing gasoline, and has been widely used as a gasoline additive worldwide. 

MTBE and gasoline can dissolve in any proportion without stratification, and when mixed with gasoline components, it has a good blending effect and can significantly improve automobile exhaust emissions. It can not only effectively increase the octane number of gasoline, but also improve car performance, reduce CO content in exhaust, and reduce gasoline production costs. It is an excellent gasoline high octane number additive and anti knock agent. In addition, MTBE is also an important chemical raw material, which can be used to prepare high-purity isobutylene through cracking.
